SAFETY
Hino's commitment to developing a safety system that provides both active safety for preventing accidents and passive safety to ensure safety in the event of an accident also comes from its philosophy. The glass area has been increased to secure a wider field of vision and wide angle mirrors are used. The steering wheel is designed to absorb impact energy during head-on collision and all models are fitted with steering columns that collapse forward to reduce the force of impact. The door impact beam has also been substantially enlarged to secure the driver's survival space.

Dual SRS airbags are standard on the Hino 300 series. Airbags operate instantly during a major frontal impact. These, alongside pre-tensioning seat-belts, contribute to driver and passenger safety.
